you guys have no idea how creepy it is to hear about North Carolina and the goings on theresabouts for a person who has been wading through INLAND EMPIRE murkiness.

If someone shows up saying they're married to a marine, I will officially poop my pants.

Namaste!

Thanks for the greetings!

KyleOrKyla - Regarding Cheerwine, yeah, I would wager it was quite the highlight. There aren't any other drinks that I'm aware of that really compare. That being said, you can purchase it online now, if you're willing to pay the exorbitant shipping rates.

kmkmiller - As for Inland Empire, I really need to go back and finish it sometime soon. My husband and I rented it shortly after its DVD release and he returned it before I could finish watching it. I had to google "Inland Empire and North Carolina" to understand why that might be creepy for you. I was aware of the connection between my home state and Blue Velvet, though.

I've been a Lynch fan since I first saw Twin Peaks when I was 14. I think his work has constantly progressed over the years. The first time I saw Lost Highway at the cinema was an unforgettable experience. I have been visiting Lost on Mulholland Drive for years and discussing Lynch movies on IMDB , so I thought I'd better join this forum at last.
Just forget you ever saw it. It's better that way.

Hello everyone. I arrived here on the crisp of a recent bout of Lynch-obsession. I've always enjoyed his work, but for any number of reasons I've started, about half-week ago, to go over a lot of his stuff in an impatient and piece-mail manner. I've started to watch or re-watch Inland Empire, Mulholland Drive, Twin Peaks and Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me, and am now headed towards Lost Highway, Blue Velvet and Eraserhead. It's an odd and haunting experience watching his work jumbled together like this.

Anyway, I've enjoyed the discussions in this forum so far, hope to eventually be able to contribute something to it.

Yes it's me! reenacting the scene, and feeling the "magic" of that place.

And, of course, very good breakfast there, good food, great service.
